The approximate extent of the Scope of Work is generally described as follows:
The City of Dallas intends to enter into an agreement with a reputable Engineering Firm for professional engineering services to include a Preliminary Report, Environmental Assessment, Design services, Bidding services, and Construction Administration services for the implementation of a Georgia Office of Planning and Budget Recovery Grant funded project related to economic development. Current needs include the design of new water lines to replace existing water distribution pipelines in the downtown area water system. The existing lines are undersized, primarily cast iron and asbestos cement, and have reached their useful life expectancy. The City has experienced frequent water line failures, interrupting service to residential and commercial customers and affecting available water pressure. The project will consist of the design of approximately 10,900 linear feet of new water line and appurtenances along Griffin Street, South Street, Victory Drive, North Griffin Street, West Memorial Drive, Highland Avenue, Park Street, Church Street, East Spring Street, and East Griffin Street.   Engineering services shall include, but are not limited to, standard tasks necessary for the implementation of the project in conformance with city program.
Six paper documents (one original and 5 copies), as well as one electronic version of the SOP on a “thumb-drive” in PDF format, must be addressed to:
