Starting a Business in Dallas

Any person engaged in any business, trade, profession, or occupation located in the City Limits of Dallas is required to register their business with the City of Dallas and obtain an Occupation Tax Certificate. (Business License) For Business License inquiries, please contact Cheyenne Cook. 

How do i start my business in the city of Dallas?

2. Complete the Business License Routing Form - This is an online form that is used as an informational piece letting us know you want to start a business in the City of Dallas. This is NOT the application. 

3. Wait for City of Dallas Staff to reach out via email with next step information.
